Hello Pam. I must say that I have not had the condescending attitude in shops over here. If I ask for something, then they get it for me, and they don't ask what I want it for. I have a good relationship with our hi-fi shops. I remember one occasion, some years ago, when I took a single point stereo microphone back because it was slightly down on the left channel. A young lad who had just started there served me, and he didn't seem to know what to do. He went to his boss, and said that someone was complaining about a microphone and what should he do. The boss looked over, saw it was me, and I heard him say, "If Mr Wilkins says the microphone is faulty, then it is faulty". Keep well. Peter
