Ok, thank you very much. I am glad you could actually check it for me since nobody around me have ptr2. But just one more thing, I understand that in the case of ptr2 you have to enter the number of minits for the sleeptimer on the number pad, so now what is the range possible to enter for the minimum and maximum amount of minits? Hi again Aidan,
It doesn't matter how the unit shuts down - every time it does so, the sleep timer memory (for want of a better word) is wiped out and you would have to reset the sleep timer manually again.
Hope this is what you wanted to know.

Thank you for that, but I think you got me a little rong here, I ment if you leave the timer to go off on its own. So if I set it and leave it to go off, then when I turn it on the next time, will it be remembered? You see the thing that I would like to be able to set the power on timer to start the unit and then the sleep timer to shut it off again after a spisific amount of time, but if the sleep timer setting is not remembered such as it is the case with most plextalk players, then that won't work. I hope I make sense. Tel me if you understand I can explain again.

Hi Aidan,
I've only double checked on a PTR2 but I guess it will be the same on the PTR1, if you turn off the unit, this effectively overrides the sleep timer and you will need to reset it the next time.
I guess that this makes perfect sense as by turning it off manually, you are doing the job of the sleep timer so there is no need for it to retain the setting the next time the unit is turned on.

So could anyone tel me if the sleeptimer wil be remembered after its used, so if I set it for six minits, and I switch it on later after it expired, will it go off again within six minits or would I need to reset it? I ask as I don't have such a unit to test with. If you don't use ptr1 or ptr2 but you no someone who does, please let them contact me off list. My email is: aidan.smarttalk@gmail.com
