Yes. I've known it to work on a podcast file I got in m4a. So I will try it. never tried it, but M4A like MP4 is a container format. That means it contains probably formats like MP3. So I suggest to copy your M4A files into a folder and rename it to MP3. Perhaps it works and your unit will play them.
