[Plextalk] My PTR2 is behaving strangely

For some time now I have experienced odd things happening with my PTR2. It will suddenly shoot up the speed and tone to the highest levels, either while I am playing something or even while it is not playing. On some occasions it has been difficult for me to stop it continually saying tone 6 and getting things back to normal. I try shutting down, and a while later it will suddenly come to life again and start playing where I have left off. I have tried shutting down and turning the mains off, but it even has been known to boot up with the mains off. I have had it for a few years, and do enjoy not only playing disks but also recording from various sources. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Wendy
