Hi, in addition to what already have been said: Have you picked up the right update package for your unit? If your device is branded for Europe you can't install an American update. When I bought my first ptp1 on Ebay the owner was an American citizen, who lived in Germany - and of course the speech on the PTP1 was in English. I tried to install the German software package (like I did years ago on my PTR1) but that didn't work with the PTP1. So keep in mind you only can install the right software for the for the right device. Yours sincerely Arno
