So why are you lurking on the Plextalk list? I've loved my Pocket and have had no problems with it. That's unlike my VRS1 which broke after approximately 18 months of use and was only ever partially fixed by Humanware. I'd love to be able to afford to own several different devices, but I simply can't afford it. So if you don't have the stream URLs I'm looking for, we'll communicate in the future. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Roger Behm" <aistech@ameritech.net> To: "'Plextalk User Discussion List'" <plextalk@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Sent: Tuesday, February 09, 2016 7:33 AM Subject: Re: [Plextalk] looking for 2 stream urls
HI; I own the plextalk pocket, bookport plus, booksense xt, and the victor stream 2 units. The victor stream 2 has little or no issues and is rock solid and no where as complicated as the plextalk devices, and the victor stream 2 doesn't need a pc to operate. I was going to sell the new Linio from Plextor, but it was a total joke, you had to use the computer to do anything with it and you couldn't get direct downloads of NLS, bookshare, newsline, or such and and didn't even come with the software you needed to do internet radio. they don't even use Ootunes. What a joke and waste of money. I return my shipment of Linio units since they did not even come close to what they said they could do!
My company just couldn't sell such a poor product such as the Plextalk pocket or Linio, since it has so many issues I personally experienced. While having my stream 2 for now 3 years and have used it heavily and abused it too, it still works flawlessly and free updates have come out regularly with no major or even minor issues. longest battery life over 20 hours of listening time when wireless is turned off, and is so easy to use!
Regards, Roger

I don't have $300+ to spend on a new device when I have one that works well under most circumstances. Besides, I've read enough complaints about the VRS2 and Humanware in general to make me leary of such a purchase.
Thanks for your message though. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Roger Behm" <aistech@ameritech.net> To: "'Plextalk User Discussion List'" <plextalk@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Sent: Tuesday, February 09, 2016 7:07 AM Subject: Re: [Plextalk] looking for 2 stream urls
Hi,
Go to the victor reader stream second generation, works far better and much easier than the Plextalk pocket or linar.

I'm having trouble getting working streams for WSCR and WGN, two stations in Chicago IL. They both had streams that worked with the Pocket until last fall. I think they've both gone to proprietary players though. Does anyone have stream URLs that work for these stations?
Thanks. _______________________________________________ Plextalk mailing list Plextalk@lists.hodgsonfamily.org https://lists.hodgsonfamily.org/listinfo/plextalk
