Hi, Steve. Someone will correct me if I am out to lunch. Blue tooth is a wireless connection of whatever the device is to something else, and in this case it would be a speaker. That would mean that you could turn on the plextalk and play it without have a wired connection through a speaker. So you could leave the device where it is and carry the speaker into another room, that sort of thing. if you cannot afford Laz's speakerm, once you figure in the cost of transport, you might be able to find a low cost one that you could pair with your unit.
