new to Plextalk Pocket

I have just got a Plextalk Pocket. Having pressed the stop button, if I don't resume play within about a minute, then I find that which ever key I press, the unit first gives me the time and I have two re-press the button a second time in order to get it to do its normal function. I thought that the date should only be spoken when pressing 5. How can I correct this? Steve

Hi, you con't change that behaiviour as it goes into power save moad after to minits of inactivity. Its used for quick wake up and you can completely power off if not use for a long time. On 17/08/2012, Steve Richards <stephenrichards1951@tiscali.co.uk> wrote:

Hi, For what ever it's worth, I am getting this too, it is getting just a bit annoying. You are of course correct about the 5 key, that is what the instructions state. This should only happen when operating on batteries to save battery life. When operated by the charger, it should just keep in standby until you need it. I think it will eventually shut off even with the charger plugged in, but I forget the exact time--10 to 15 minutes I think it was but you can read the manual to be sure.
