Hello everyone. This is to inform for those who might not no yet that both the pocket and the linio pocket now got firmware updates. Fixing among other things USB connectivity issues. I no on a number of pc's people had problems. Hope they will have a much more smoover and smarter connecting experience. Only sad thing is that for this update they have done away with the .exe file download. So you must use the .zip file for the UK firmware. Don't no on the US firmware if they kept that file. Goodluck and enjoy. Ok, have been having a bit of a weird issue happening with my plextalk pocket. When i go to record I get a lot of crackle or static when recording with the internal or external microphone/line in . version 6 for the firmware. the version 5 firmware did not do this. What is happening with the recording? also has anyone else had this problem with the recording feature of the plextalk pocket? If needed i could do a recording but i truely am stumped as to why this is happening. I need to use the higher recording levels for the recording volume. Please advise. thanks.
I am not sure what would cause a crackle with both an internal and external mic. However, if it is worse when you operate at max recording level you might try purchasing an external preamp and microphone from sound professionals. They sell some very expensive units but also some less expensive ones. This should let you operate with your recording level much lower.
