They don't seem to have new plans or products and in my country the dealer already removed them from their product list/website. Last 2 units are intended to work with the DAISY online protocol. (DODP) Most libraries in Europe have implemented DODP and Plextalk is delivering units to the dealer network in Europe. However, you are right, PTR2 has been discontinued since 2017, first production was in 2005 and has lasted for 12 years, however, service is still possible for this model. The European libraries have the DAISY 2.02 and 3.0 standard, and big majority is still distribution on CD next to the DODP. Do you perhaps no anything about the prs software and weather that is moving forward? Its not updated in a long time and if they want it to work on windows10 they should do something because the mike and mery voices don't work under win10. I guess that there has been some kind of problem getting them into this country. Is there any hope that the ability to get them from overseas will be resolved soon? Hi Frank, Due to strict transport regulations in the US for Lithium batteries, it is not possible to ship these parts to the US. This is the information I got from our HQ. Thanks Mark, It's a reasonable explanation and more than I have been able to get from other sources. Some day I will go out and search the web to find out how the laptop manufacturers continue to obtain replacement batteries for their products. Perhaps they have some clever way of performing a crucial assembly step here in the states.
