More audio file types support, perhaps?
I was somewhat disappointed to find that my PlexTalk Pocket wouldn't recognise an m4a file as I was transferring over a magazine from my computer to it. (Whereas it did recognise the other 9 files which were mp3's.)
Hi, never tried it, but M4A like MP4 is a container format. That means it contains probably formats like MP3. So I suggest to copy your M4A files into a folder and rename it to MP3. Perhaps it works and your unit will play them. Yours sincerely Arno
I doubt it will work, its stil an apple format for the most part. Rather convert the files to mp3. But yes, they seem to not really like to implement more file formats. That is why I mostly use it for text files and daisy, as its what it handles the best. On 25/05/2014, Arno Schuh <arno.schuh@in-trier.de> wrote:

Yes. I've known it to work on a podcast file I got in m4a. So I will try it. However, there are audio bookk file formats (m4b, and such) that should also be included for our enjoyment and use. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Arno Schuh" <arno.schuh@in-trier.de> To: "Plextalk User Discussion List" <plextalk@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Sent: Sunday, May 25, 2014 10:02 PM Subject: Re: [Plextalk] More audio file types support, perhaps?

I agree. The more choices the better! On 26/05/2014, Flor Lynch <florlync@iol.ie> wrote:

you can not rename an m4a file to mp3 and have it play. On 5/26/2014 12:58 AM, Aidan wrote:

that rather appears to depend on what actually comprised the m4a file. If it is only audio, then it might work. (I've seen it happen with a music podcast.)
