Hi everyone, My Plextalk Pocket is having problems engaging the power from either turning on or off, requiring several key presses. I am not sure if the cost of getting this fixed would be more cost efficient than just getting another unit, and keeping this one at home for my line-in recordings. I have also found that the lock key is becoming very sensitive to touch. I am not rough on the unit, but I guess many key presses can eventually be negative. Are there any suggestions of what home remedies I might try? I guess I can keep the power save on and use the "any key" to wake up the unit. Thank you, Steve
Did you take the battery out of the unit for 10/20 seconds, and then reinsert it and start up the unit again? This resets it. -----Original Message----- From: stever2525 Sent: Saturday, September 03, 2016 11:59 AM To: Plextalk User Discussion List Subject: [Plextalk] problem with power button Hi everyone, My Plextalk Pocket is having problems engaging the power from either turning on or off, requiring several key presses. Hi Steve, Basically the power save mode is better for the unit to work than each time powering off completely. You should only power off when not using the PTP1 for a longer time. But it looks like the power on button is malfunctioning. It can be fixed. If you put the unit in power save mode and turn on the key lock function, then it will stay off until you turn off the key lock. Hope this helps. I find it is also very helpful to perform a reset by putting the unit in power save, enabling the key lock then press the power butten and hold it in until the unit shuts down It seems to resolve just about every problem that I have had over the years. I have a little sony microphone. it's stereo, and does a pretty good job. But there's not much bass. Is there any microphone you can recommend for the plextalk 2 that will give me the best stereo recording possible? Thanks. Penny pengold2@gmail.com On 9/5/2016 1:21 PM, frank cuta wrote:
