Re: question on transferring book to plextalk
Hi Sugar, OK, I'm working on a few assumptions here but, if you've got a Plextalk PTN2, you might be able to copy the information onto an SD card and transfer it that way. That assumes that you have an SD card slot on your computer. Alternatively, linking with a USB cable should also be possible (I think) but usually, when you connect most Plextalk devices to a computer, the Plextalk becomes a dumb drive and tends to lose the normal functionality until it is subsequently disconnected. I've not used a PTN2 so can't give you chapter and verse on this, so apologies in advance if I'm talking garbage! Hi Jamie I just tried the USBcord thing but since I just got my plextalk, it said there was not enough room in my card. So I have to find a way to get a bigger one. Do I get it at a special place or can I just purchase one at a store where they have electonics? Hi Sugar, You should be able to purchase it at any electronics store - it's a standard SD card that you require. I think the maximum size you can use in the PTN2 is 32GB but please don't quote me as I'm not certain about this. Hello, PTN2 cannot make a USB connection with a computer. However, the files system is similar to what you have in windows. When using an SD-card (max 32GB - SDHC) then one can copy a book or folder from PC to SD-card by windows explorer. That is the most easy (Copy / Paste). Make sure each book / content is in its own folder. When using the SD-card in PTN2, one can use the title key, which is located between the File Forward and the Eject key, to select another title on the SD-card.
