I find taking the battery out and putting it back in often solves it, or using a different SD card. You could try reformatting your current SD card.

To confirm boot, turn the unit off and remove the SD card. A successful boot is the unit announcing "please wait", then in about 45 seconds your tones and announcing "no SD card". Anything else, e.g. cycling, continuous tones, no tones, no button response, etc usually means the processor is bad (not repairable). Make sure the key lock switch is in the down position.
