Hi, thank you very much for your feedback. Wel its intresting, because
there is now always a risk that you can go to shops and they can give
you the rong disks. Since there is no way to no by touch what the
difference are. And most cd recorders allow the recording of .CDA
format on data disks, so I con't even take my roland recorder and try
it that way by means of confirmation. But I guess that it would be
quite clear from the wording on the cover wich disk you take. I have
to look around. Plextalk said to me that some of them can have an
audio logo, although that wasn't really confirmed by a sighted person
to me directly. So I guess as you said its about hunting and searching
til I find it. At least I have a bit of a clue what to look for.
Thanks.

Hi Aidan,
No, you are absolutely correct on this one.
For recording in DAISY format, standard CD-R or CD-RW discs will work
absolutely fine but, if you want to record direct on to a disc in digital
audio format (i.e. .CDA format) that can then be taken to be played on a
standard CD player, the discs must be of the correct audio format in the
first place.
Essentially, if you bung in a blank data CD, the PTR2 will default
automatically to recording in DAISY format. If you insert a blank digital
audio CD, PTR2 will recognise the difference and will record in .CDA
format.

Yes, but I'm talking about the permitting of recording in digital
audio format. As far as I no, ptr2 don't allow recording of digital
audio format on normal data disks, wich is preserved for daisy
recording. Are you saying its not true?

you do not need any fancy made discs to record on to.

Hi, thank you so much, this do help indeed. So how did you got hold of
those? I mean did you new what to look for when you bought it? Its a
pity the ptr2 don't except digital audio format on a data disk, but I
guess that these cd's also have advantages, as they should play much
smoover on older cd players.

Hi Aidan,
I got my son to look over the audio discs that I have in the house and
there
doesn't appear to be a logo that would distinguish them as being
specifically the kind of discs you are talking about.
The discs are Phillips discs and the text on the disc just says "CD-R
Audio". On another section of the disc in roughly a square area it then
says "Compact disc digital audio". Finally, in another area, with black
background and white writing, it says "Recordable".
I don't have the original box that they came in so can't check it for
possible logos.
Hope this helps.

Ok, for those who no and use ptr2, I have an idea a little bit what to
look for when it comes to music cd's, as they say, it must be a cd
that is intended for primery use in a cd recorder or have an audio
logo or something. The examples plextalk give on their site and the
help I got in their emails didn't help me enough in this matter, could
anyone give me more of a clear idea what to look for? What must be
rittin on the packaging of such cd's? Ptr2 won't except recording of
music cd format (digital audio) on a normal data cd, and I need to no
what to look for in order to find the correct type of disk. I no that
amazon also sold some of them, but that won't help me as i'm not in
the US. Any ideas?
