type I or type II SD to CF adapter
Hello, I wish to buy an SD to CF adapter to use with a PTR2. Do I require a Type I or Type II? Also do I need a different Type for use with the older PRT1? Thanks, Steve
Hi. The ptr1, that old unit, uses, if I remember something called a: pcmCia slot. I think I may still have one of those that will fit a CF card in it. You'll get good help from others; but at least you know we're reading. I might still have one of those adapters that will fit a CF card and fit in the side of the PTR1. Hi Steve, I never looked to see if they make a CF adaptor card that accepts a SD card. on the ptr1 it had a PCIMCI adaptor card about the size of a fat credit card that I found accept either a CF card or SD card, but they eliminated that larger slot on the ptr 2. I did and they do! But they appear to be different dependent upon Type I or Type II. I already have the PCIMCI adapter. I have a Flash Card Reader that has both CF and SDHC sockets connected to my PC, VIA USB cable. (it can take both types of Flash card.)
