Hello, I have just made my first daisy recording on the Plextalk Pocket. Am I correct in understanding that the only editing I can do relates to setting headings and removing sections and headings? I had expected to be able to set navigational levels, cut and paste, split phrase etc as I can on my PTR1. Thanks, Steve
For the kinds of things you mention, you might explore the plextalk transfer software. You can download it freem from the plextalk.com site. On Tue, 4 Sep 2012, Steve Richards wrote:

Yes I do use the PRS on my computer. It is just that one can do similar work on the PTR1 and I was hoping to do likewise on the Plextalk Pocket. Steve, The Pocket is much more limited in the things that you can do with it as far as editing is concerned. If you want to do the more advanced things, at present you will have to use the PRS software. Personally I'm not sure that having the additional editing features on the unit itself is that important as I have always felt that, if you need to do a lot of editing, it is far quicker and more efficient to take the time to copy the project over to a computer and use the software. There are also so many more things that you can do with the software that leave your final project as a better end product e.g. being able to name the headings, exporting the audio to end up with unique audio files for each section etc, etc... At the moment though, you will not be able to do all the things you can do on the PTR1. Thank you Jamie. I hear what you are saying. I just wished to confirm that I wasn't missing something. I have another query concerning the Folder level on the Pocket accessed from the Menu button. On my SD card I have placed 2 folders, each containing 4 sub folders which are Titles. For some reason which I cannot explain, when I listen to the voice telling me what the folders are, it names the 2 folders at the first level, also 2 sub folders from one of those primary folder and one sub folder from the other first level primary folder. In other words the card contains a total of 10 folders, but the voice only mentions five of them. I have tried re-numbering both the first level and the four sub folders contained in each of those, to see if this will make it read all of the folders but that didn't work. I will be amazed if you can understand what I am going on about! The problem is academic because I have no problem in accessing all of the folders contained within the two primary folders by just going to Title level. At Title level I can just move through the eight titles consecutively. You can now also connect ptp1 to pc and instal the free prs version. Why spend money if you can do it that way. The differences between prs and prs pro is not that big. On 05/09/2012, Russ Kiehne <russ94577@gmail.com> wrote:
