Hi Peter, First try removing the battery for 10-15 seconds, then replacing. The unit should turn on. Try with a standard audio disc to confirm operation. Unfortunately I can't remember what to do to re-initialise it in order to get it to work again, and I can't open any of the manuals on-line.
