Hello Wendy. Good to hear from you. My wife's PTN1 only plays CD's, so it cannot be used for anything else. Its position in her listening system is going to be taken up by a PTX1, which plays CD's, S D cards, and memory sticks. She has had the PTX1 for some time, but has hardly used it, so it will now come into its own. Keep well. Peter
