Hi, the difference as far as ptp1 is concerned, have mostly to do with the noise filter. Those are preset moads you can use if you want, at the default recording moad they made the noise level at normal, wich is minus 28 db, and in conference moad they made it high noise level, I forgot the db for that, so that could be useful if you in a room where you need to record people around a table and/or if you got a external microphone wich are optimized for conferences.
