Steve, Absolutely fair comment but I just wanted to make sure that, if Steve was wanting to purchase speakers that hooked up via Bluetooth without needing additional bits and pieces, he would need to ensure that the player had the Bluetooth capability. If you want wireless speakers, it kind of defeats the purpose if you have to hook up with a cable. I get that Steve but it was you who implied that you have the option of connecting some Bluetooth speakers direct to a device with a cable via the line in socket. If you've purchased a set of Bluetooth speakers thinking that they will work with a device and then either have to use a cable or have to purchase the extra Bluetooth adaptor, it would be a little frustrating. All I'm saying is that it's worth knowing ahead of time if your device is Bluetooth compatible itself or if you need to factor in the additional cost of the Bluetooth adaptor as well as the Bluetooth speakers. I'm certainly not saying that a Bluetooth adaptor involves a cable itself. Just adding to Laz's point, the important thing is to make sure that if you are going to buy bluetooth speakers or headphones etc, your player must itself be Bluetooth compatible - there's no point in getting Bluetooth gadgets if your player doesn't support Bluetooth technology.
From memory, not all the players that you list before have this capability.

Bluetooth has nothing to do with being internet connected or not. Bluetooth is just a technology that transmits or receives audio signals wirelessly making it so that you can listen to your audio content without wires getting in the way.
I usually recommend to any international folks who are interested in a low cost item to seek out a similar item locally. However, the shipping amount is determined by the size of the package, so depending on what you wanted to order, I may or not recommend that you seek it locally. Not the device itself, but you can turn any unit that comes with an headphone socket into a Bluetooth device. You only have to plug in a Bluetooth transmitter into the headphone socket and it is able to connect to i. e. a Bluetooth speaker, a Bluetooth headset, a Bluetooth receiver at your stereo etc. Russ Kiehne <russ94577@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi, did your devices support APT-X, too? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AptX Just for listening to audio books any Bluetooth standard is good enough, but when transmitting music to even small speakers, and more than this, to my stereo, the sound of Bluetooth often is muffled.
