Sent from my iPhone i'm sorry to have so many questions, but does anyone real familiar with how to put radio stations in your Plex talk thank you for
Which Plextalk do you have? My experience is with the PlexTalk Pocket. On the PTP, there are two ways of adding stations to your PlexWeb Radio list. One, is to copy the URL of the streem you want to put on to your PlexTalk, into a new file in Notepad or similar editor, for pasting. Now save that file in which you pasted your URL. Now rename it (F2) in Windows Explorer/File Explorer, with an m3u or .pls suffix replacing the .txt, to make it compatible for streaming from the PlexTalk. You then copy the renamed file to the clipboard, and paste it into your PlexWeb Radio folder. The second way is to use an appropriate version of PlexTalk Transfer to do the job. This software can be downloaded from the plextalk.com site, your purchased unit's region, (eg Europe, North America). ----- Original Message ----From: "Robert Giles" <diamondcowboy24@gmail.com> To: <Plextalk@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Sent: Saturday, February 15, 2014 9:02 PM Subject: [Plextalk] Web radio

Hi Flor/all, Some time back, Flor was asking about national BBC stations. I sent some Windows Media streams which, it turned out, didn't work outside the UK. I was recently in the US and confirmed that they didn't work there, but also found that some alternatives worked just fine. So, if anyone is still looking for those, below is a link to a zip file with a wide range of stations split into folders. Some of these are no longer supported, but the ones in the BBC folder, including national and local stations, do work outside the UK. The file is here: http://www.soundlinks.com/streams.zip HTH, Peter At 23:13 15/02/2014, you wrote:

Hi Peter, many thanks for the links you've provided. In the meanwhile, I got hold of some links to mp3 streams made available through the WebbIE developer's site, and the BBC streams withal have continued to work (also outside the UK). So I'm a 'happy camper' now, and will take a look at the .zip file of station streams that you have put up There is also the site at: http://radiofeeds.co.uk - which takes all of the official stations broadcasting live in the UK and Ireland. The BBC streams work fine from there, at least in version 6 of the PlexTalk Pocket. I think all of it also should work for anyone outside of the UK and Ireland. :) Thus, you can get BBC Radio 3 (classical music/art) at 320 mb/s from there, and transfer that - or indeed any of the other streams at radiofeeds.co.uk - to your PlexTalk. . (My name is spelled without an a at the end. that's important, because in this case it's a male, not a female.) . --- Original Message ----- From: "Peter Bosher" <peter@soundlinks.com> To: "Plextalk User Discussion List" <plextalk@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Sent: Thursday, February 20, 2014 2:08 PM Subject: Re: [Plextalk] Web radio

Hi, yes, they'll work through your WiFi network if it is connected to the internet. You transfer them into your PlexWeb Radio folder. Your best bet would be to try the radiofeeds.co.uk Web site as it has current links to stations that work and it is constantly updated. At the other site I indicated, not all of the links work. (As will all of these lists, there are no guarantees that all the streams therein will continue to work past the time you download them, or that all of them will work on the [plexTalk. best bet seems to be the m3u and mp3 streams, and usually the .pls streams.) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gary Patterson " <gpatterson002@mchsi.com> To: "'Plextalk User Discussion List'" <plextalk@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Sent: Friday, February 21, 2014 3:52 AM Subject: Re: [Plextalk] Web radio

Hi again Peter, Wow! That's an impressive number of stations you got. Flor. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peter Bosher" <peter@soundlinks.com> To: "Plextalk User Discussion List" <plextalk@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Sent: Thursday, February 20, 2014 2:08 PM Subject: Re: [Plextalk] Web radio
Hi Flor/all,
Some time back, Flor was asking about national BBC stations. The file is here: http://www.soundlinks.com/streams.zip
HTH,
Peter
