for sale brand new plextalk pocket
Hi all: I have for sale unopened a brand new plextalk pocket. As I bought one very recently and have decided to see what might be up and coming this summer about other new players, I am selling this pocket unopened. I am selling it for $230 including shipping. I accept pay pal as form of payment. Rich Cavallaro
The reason I am selling the pocket is below: Honestly, i have sold varius players since last year . a book port plus and BookSense in the last few weeks plus multiple pockets+vr streams and milestone 312 etc. I honestly cant really decided which player i want. so, I have been buyign various players using them for a while and then selling them. I bought the pocket again because I thought that it would meet my needs. But think my plan is to sit tight and wait because I am really hoping for a much improved dtb player to hit the market. The only new player to hit the market later this year is the new Book Port desktop. -----Original Message----- From: Rich Cavallaro Sent: Thursday, May 24, 2012 12:09 PM To: Plextalk User Discussion List Subject: Re: [Plextalk] for sale brand new plextalk pocket The reason I am selling the pocket is below: Honestly, i have sold varius players since last year . a book port plus and BookSense in the last few weeks plus multiple pockets+vr streams and milestone 312 etc. I honestly cant really decided which player i want. so, I have been buyign various players using them for a while and then selling them. I just don't understand how you can buy a pocket twice and then stil cel it, maybe you didn't do your homework correctly or had a false impression of the player. Wel to wait for another one could maybe help, but how long wil you wait then? Bookport desktop is not a pocket size player so if you want something small then you wouldn't want to wait for that, but I can just say I think you must be careful as not to by another machine and then have to cel it again, I understand it happened to me also, but I guess we can try to avoid it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Russ Kiehne" <wb6niu@141.com> To: "Plextalk User Discussion List" <plextalk@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Sent: Friday, May 25, 2012 2:50 PM Subject: Re: [Plextalk] for sale brand new plextalk pocket

Well, I have a plextalk pocket I mainly use for web radio, downloading and listening to podcasts. A booksense I use for reading text based books because of it's tts and a victor reader stream I bought back in 2008 because I didn't want to wait for the nls dtbm. I will say the Stream opened up a whole new world of reading. -----Original Message----- From: Aidan Sent: Friday, May 25, 2012 5:56 AM To: Plextalk User Discussion List Subject: Re: [Plextalk] for sale brand new plextalk pocket I just don't understand how you can buy a pocket twice and then stil cel it, maybe you didn't do your homework correctly or had a false impression of the player. Its your decision and I have an Ipod but just remember that apple products are fantastic but its just not the same as having a player that is completely designed for us as blind people. The Iphone is still a mainstream device and its very good and I would maybe like to get one at some stage but it still has a lot of things that cater for the sighted market but our players only are designed for our needs and we must keep that in mind as well but each for their own. Likewise, I have an ipod. I still find reading a book is much easier on a Stream, booksense or plextalk pocket. -----Original Message----- From: emma goodwin Sent: Friday, May 25, 2012 6:13 AM To: Plextalk User Discussion List Subject: Re: [Plextalk] for sale brand new plextalk pocket Its your decision and I have an Ipod but just remember that apple products are fantastic but its just not the same as having a player that is completely designed for us as blind people. Hi, One thing re these special players verses the iPods etc. is the battery life. I don't think you can beat the battery life on the special players, I tried playing DAISY content on the iPhone and it will just suck the battery! The battery drain is the thing I'm most concerned about vis a vis any iPhone daisy player. Seems my fear has been confirmed. I don't want to be using my iPhone as a daisy book player, only to then be compromised when an incoming call comes in because I don't have sufficient power. Wel, I would agree, I also have one and that is exactly why I wanted that and not the IPhone. I think that there is a place for both but its very important and I do agree that the pocket and other players of that kind do come to my rescue when I need those features nothing else can give me. I wish I had a uncapt wifi then I would use the WebRadio and potcasts alot. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Russ Kiehne" <wb6niu@141.com> To: "Plextalk User Discussion List" <plextalk@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Sent: Friday, May 25, 2012 6:09 PM Subject: Re: [Plextalk] for sale brand new plextalk pocket
