Hello Jamie.
Thanks for this suggestion. It works. My wife is very grateful, as on her current card she has around sixty titles, and each time she deletes one it puts her back to the beginning.
We have tried your suggestion on both her PTR2 machines, and it works well.
As I have said previously on this group, I personally prefer the PTP to the PTR2.
Thanks again.

Steve and Peter,
You can do this by pressing the Heading key twice - when there are more than one title present, the second press of the key should give you a "Go to title" option. Then type in the number of the title you want and press the Enter key. Job done.
Note: the Heading key is the second key down from the top of the front face on the left side. It is a small diamond shaped key.

Wel, if you have put all the files you want to play that way in a folder without any other files in the root folder it should work. Are you sure there is no other files in between the songs? Maybe system files? And also check your playback settings. The playback moad must be standard. On 11/07/2012, Otto Zamora <donttreadonme@bellsouth.net> wrote:

Hi Peter,
The thing that catches people out at times is that the
that are available will depend on the current status of
the media being used. For example, the option for "Go to
not exist when you are using a media which only has one
makes a lot of sense but can confuse folk if you are desperately looking for something and it doesn't appear to be available.
Glad you got it working.

We have tried your suggestion on both her PTR2 machines, and it works well.

Right now, the machine stops after each file, ok, if you are listening to old time radio, or a TV episode, but need to know if there is a way to get the machine to play the songs in a music file, without having to start each one. If there is, could someone please post how to do this??? I read the instructions but must have missed it somewhere. Another question I have is if the change can be made, can it be done just on the music folder, or is the change universal, affecting everything??? Thank you in advance for the attention you give this E mail, and your help and effort. Ptp1 is great but ptr2 will suit me wel for other things. Ptp1 editing is far to limmited. And it doesn't have a diary notepad, and doesn't have the ability to repeat audio between bookmarks like ptr2 does. one title present, the second press of the key should give you a "Go to title" option. Then type in the number of the title you want and
are more than press the
Enter key. Job done.
Note: the Heading key is the second key down from the top of the front face on the left side. It is a small diamond shaped key.

Hi Peter,
Looks like I was wrong, since the PTR2 has no title key, so I don't think you can do it after all.
Sorry about that.
All the best

Hello Steve.
Please can you give me the key instructions for getting to a title by number. There is no Go To button on the PTR2, and I have tried all the things I can think of.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
PETER

Hi Otto Apologies if you already know this. If you put your music into a folder with subfolders for each artist and within them folders for each album, with each album folder containing the tracks of the album, you can play all the music by selecting the Music category, or all the albums by an artist by selecting the folder. If you just want to play one album and then stop select Title. As I have said before on this list, I still have not found a way of selecting an artist (Folder) and getting it to carry on to the next artist. Pele West
Morning, I have always said that there cannot be such a thing as too much help. It is appreciated, I did finally figure it out, got tired of hearing one song only, and spent a good deal of time on the menus. If I am getting this right, and you wish the plextyalk to continusly run with one folder after another, what needs to happen is for you to hit your title key, not the menu key, you want to be on standard play. Once you get to the info section, you hit enter on the category, in my case, it would be the music folder. Then before the first song on the first folder plays, arrow down to where the names of your folders are. Arrow right until you hear the name of the folder you wish the machine to start with and hit enter. It should start playing that folder along with everything after that is, whatever is on the right of the folder you started with. Hi Otto Thanks. I am interested to know if you have actually made this work, as I find I can select a folder containing all the albums by one artest but Plextalk stops when it gets to the end of the albums. I do this using your method of selecting Category and then Folder. Let me know if you get it to work and I will try again. (Apologies to everyone, I know we have been here before). Pele
Morning to you, I am honestly not sure, I know that I played two folders yesterday with no issue, but stopped it myself before it got any further. I will play with it and let you know what I find. God speed.
