Hi, Will my Plextalk Pocket play audible books via a SD card? Thanks, Steve
Hi Steve, do your request refer to a PTP1? If so: Of course, because the PTP1 didn't comes with build-in memory. Because the Audible books comes with a copy protection, you have to run an zertification process with the device and the software. After a successful registration of your PTP1 the protected books on your SD card willl run on this device. Yours sincerely Arno
Hi, Short answer is yes it will, but you need to authorise the player by using the Audible Manager software on Windows. You need to have an SD card in the Pocket, then connect the Pocket to your computer and let the Audible Manager device see the Pocket. Once authorised a file gets put on the SD card (if I remember correctly), and any books you download using this software and then copy to the SD card will be playable. The bad news is that the Audible Manager software is sort of end of life and people are having real issues getting it installed, especially on Windows 10. Audible are phasing this support out in favour of cloud playing via the mobile app etc. However once you do this it will work. Hope this helps. Thank you Andrew. My wife dedicated andSD card for my ptn2 on the laptop but we had to quote the serial number for the ptn2. This was early last year using the audible website. I think that she had to telephone audible but, if I recall, they were most helpful. Hi, If you have already authorised the device already on the MMC card you can download the Audible files using the Audible download manager and then just copy them across to the correct folder on the SD card for the Pocket to pick them up, so long as the account you download the files with and the account you authorised with are the same. Hope this helps.
