I have recorded some things onto disks, and then finalised the disks. I want to back them up to cards, but when I put a disk in the player it tells me that it is an improper or damaged disk. I know there are recordings on the disk, as I have put it in my computer, and there are various files listed. I have tried everything I can think of, going through the menus on the player, but to no avail. Can anyone help? Wendy
Hi. This is a strange thing. You made the disk on the very ptr that now will not let you back it upto a card? These PTR's get a little high-handed, don't they? Since it now won't let you access the disk, perhaps your only option is to use your computer to dump whatever is on the disk to the card. Others may have some suggestions. In my experience, you can try to reset the machine, you know; removing the battery for a bit and then starting over. But it doesn't change anything, though it could. But if it were me, I'd have to go with the computer backing up what was wanted. Penny On 9/22/2016 5:02 PM, Wendy Sharpe via Plextalk wrote:

Hi Wendy, Does it happen with every disc you've recorded? Have you tried with a standard audio disc to confirm the drive is good? Hi Bob I have just tried one of my music CDs, and it is doing the same thing, improper or damaged disk. Obviously there is something wrong. Could she try to go back to factory settings? Just a thought. On 9/23/2016 3:31 AM, Wendy Sharpe via Plextalk wrote:

You could try putting a head cleaning disk through the player seeing as it doesn't seem to read any disks. hth cliff ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wendy Sharpe via Plextalk" <plextalk@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> To: "'Plextalk'" <plextalk@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Cc: "Wendy Sharpe" <w.sharpe@tiscali.co.uk> Sent: Thursday, September 22, 2016 11:02 PM Subject: [Plextalk] Problem with PTR1
