Well, I am also glad this list is still around. I had to resume recording on a PlexTalk, as my small BookPort won't record more than several seconds. Can some1 please inform, can I turn off those anoying announcements of creating headings? I'm still here and use a plextalk pocket. I've had it for over 10 years and it still works fine. I do notice a slight difference in how long the battery can hold a charge. Hi John, Although I'm not certain about this, I think there's been enough evidence about this issue to indicate a fault with the design of the mains power socket. Mine failed in a way which seemed like the socket first became intermittent on charging and then failed entirely. This makes me believe that there is a mechanical failure in the socket itself or in the connection to the mother board. Thank goodness I can still charge the unit with the USB cord but it's a bit of a pain. But at least if I push the eject key as the first thing before it says there is no disk, the disk will pop out.

Although I'm not certain about this, I think there's been enough evidence about this issue to indicate a fault with the design of the mains power socket.
Mine failed in a way which seemed like the socket first became intermittent on charging and then failed entirely. This makes me believe that there is a mechanical failure in the socket itself or in the connection to the mother board.
Thank goodness I can still charge the unit with the USB cord but it's a bit of a pain.

Hi, at last SDHC; that means 32 GB. Probably larger cards over an USB adapter via the USB port. SDXC cards are different in its technical properties. So it might be possible to use an SDXC card in the slot, but the device can't address the additional memory space on this card.
