Greetings All,
I recently got a promotion to a new position at my company. I am the new I.T. Systems Administrator II. We have almost 100 users and are still growing. I have a decent budget to work with and I am considering getting something for managing tickets, installation of software and inventory just to name a few. Also a MDM will be very helpful. Also to add I've built an Active Directory Domain with 3 DC's 1 of which is at a different physical location. I am using GPO to their full potential except Microsoft wants us to move to Windows 10 enterprise to gain the rest of the features. One option I am looking at is Manage Engine. I am primarily a JAWS user so accessibility is of much importance. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

We use the free version of AD360. I think it's free up to like 300 objects or so. Not quite sure, though, to be honest. I don't handle most software licensing decisions for my group. I find that regardless of the application being written in Strut, at least the labels are configured properly.

I haven't used Manage Engine's products in a long long time, has the accessibility improved? When I tried to use their service desk product at a former employer about eight years ago, it was barely accessible at all and took a lot of work arounds to make work. Nothing I'd want to implement. Ryan

I recently got a promotion to a new position at my company. I am the new I.T. Systems Administrator II. We have almost 100 users and are still growing. I have a decent budget to work with and I am considering getting something for managing tickets, installation of software and inventory just to name a few. Also a MDM will be very helpful. Also to add I've built an Active Directory Domain with 3 DC's 1 of which is at a different physical location. I am using GPO to their full potential except Microsoft wants us to move to Windows 10 enterprise to gain the rest of the features. One option I am looking at is Manage Engine. I am primarily a JAWS user so accessibility is of much importance. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Agreed. The barrier to it is often the size of the deployment. I've been mentioning SCCM for months and months to my group, and none of my higher ups will consider it stating that we have too small of an environment to waste 30 gigabytes of ram on a server running configuration.

Also to add I've built an Active Directory Domain with 3 DC's 1 of which is at a different physical location. I am using GPO to their full potential except Microsoft wants us to move to Windows 10 enterprise to gain the rest of the features. One option I am looking at is Manage Engine. I am primarily a JAWS user so accessibility is of much importance. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Agreed. The barrier to it is often the size of the deployment. I've been mentioning SCCM for months and months to my group, and none of my higher ups will consider it stating that we have too small of an environment to waste 30 gigabytes of ram on a server running configuration.

If you like saving money and are into open source, RT from best practical solutions is awsome! https://bestpractical.com It has a lot of features, aset tracking and real time response if you install it. It is complicated and takes some work to get your head around it, but it is really customizable and I have never had access trouble with it.

I have a decent budget to work with and I am considering getting something for managing tickets, installation of software and inventory just to name a few. Also a MDM will be very helpful. Also to add I've built an Active Directory Domain with 3 DC's 1 of which is at a different physical location. I am using GPO to their full potential except Microsoft wants us to move to Windows 10 enterprise to gain the rest of the features. One option I am looking at is Manage Engine. I am primarily a JAWS user so accessibility is of much importance. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

RT is very nice, but doesn't have stuff like Software Management and MDM for devices on the network. I want to push patches and other software out. I still may use RT for our internal service desk...

It has a lot of features, aset tracking and real time response if you install it. It is complicated and takes some work to get your head around it, but it is really customizable and I have never had access trouble with it.
