Hi. Has any one worked with the entity designer, doing a database assignment, and need to do a entity diagram, relationships from the tables, and the collumns. Using jaws 16, windows 8.1 64 bit enterprise, and also using visual studio 2013 community edition. Any ideas. Thanks. Marvin.

Hi. Staying clear of that as well. Okay, got sql server 2014 developer working, created my database, via the create database script, as the file wizard kept saying empty file name, and then created my two tables, then set it up, then entered the data. All is working fine now. Just have to add the adventure 2014 works database, samples, and then good to go, next part of my database assignment. Creating a new table, importing data from a .csv file. Then run the script, then save the table data. This was not doing that under express. Okay, with the windows talking pe, can I use a usb stick, got a 4 gb and a 30 gb, if I need to reinstall windows 8.1, or update to windows 10. Marvin.

Hi all, The subject says it all, is it worth purchasing this package? I have been using the free Talking WinPE and I am able to install Windows with that, but are there any advantages with that other package? Many thanks, Christian

Anyone played with Microsoft Service Management Automation?

Hi: I was wondering if anyone here has started playing with Microsoft Service Management Automation? I was told about this product last week by one of our consultants who claimed that in the future this would be the replacement for System Center Orchestrator, and does much the same thing as that product does now. Unlike SCO, however, SMA has no GUI whatsoever accept for a small web front end to do some basic workflow management. Everything else is supposedly managed 100% through Powershell, so accessibility wise this might be a boon for us. I’m going to try and set up some test servers next week and start messing with it, but was wondering if anyone has beaten me to it and knew how hard it was to get going? Ryan

Hi. Was able to install it. And now. Just reading up how to create a new database. Looks like I need to create the database skemer? Is that correct. Everytime, expand the database top node, right click create or new, and enter a name, click add, then ok, gives me an error saying the file name was blank. But it is not empty. How do I create a new database, and now to import a sql or mdf file. Thanks. Ps: maybe missing some thing simple, but was able to create new in express. Needed developer, as the next assignment, is to import data into a new table from a .csv file, and the express, said it did not save the import. Any ideas. Thanks.

Hi. Tried both on internet explorer and firefox, says the chat page, is not redirecting, do have cookies enabled. Just having a bad day and frustrated. 1. I could not install sql server 2014 developer, says the names are too long for the media. 2. 2. My database that had been working on for sql server management studio 2014 express, decided to uinstall, and now, my database is corrupted. 3. So, any tools to recover corrupted database, .mdf that works with jaws, and also tried a few system restore points, and disabled avg, and then totally removed it. 4. Now, it did not restore my system. 5. So just having one of those frustrating days. 6. And not even sure I still have the windows 8.1 enterprise dvd. 7. Marvin.

Hi Andrew. Tried that. But in the installation centre, no where and no link for the developer to install a new one. And yes, did back up, but now, the .sql file would not restore. So just had to totally wipe out avg, and do a system restore. As it would not do that. Go back. So, looking for a way to bypass the installation centre, and a msi or .exe to install sql developer, and have a legal copy, as the dream spark, says do not have to have a key, embeeded in the installation. Can you help me out. Or how to install, by pass the set up .exe. A whole heap of msi, which one to install. Or provide me with how to install. My lectuer not back till Monday, which is a pain, looked at different forums, and blogs. Nope, does not let me install, because ihave the express, and did uninstall the express, then no way to install developer, either upgrade assistant or migration wizard, no way to install a stand alone. Can you help. Totally frustrated. Just about to do a system restore back to this morning, unplugged the external drie and flash drive. So. Any help. Marvin.

sql server 2014 instalation issues help?

Hi. Doing an assignment, where I need to create a couple of tables for a database, then import the data. Did this yesterday, and now when I use the import / export wizard sql express 2014, 64 bit for my windows 8.1, 64 bit, machine, it says I need sql server pro, enterprise or developer. To save the imported data. Well. As a member of dreamspark, as a student, got the developer version. When I run the setup, no install new installasation or stand aline. Only to upgrade or migrate tool. Any one got any ideas, or links where I can download and or install, or how to by pass the installation centre. Using jaws 16, latest version, 64 bit. Any help. Thanks.
