Jaws has just caused two production servers to reboot. I've been using these servers every day from Monday to Friday for the past two years. Jaws 14 is what's been running. I have never updated because getting time to reboot these servers is very difficult. Now they've just gone down during a payment run! Wow this is really bad luck. Has anyone encountered this before? Vmware Workstation9 on windows7 host not grabbing keyboard input

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has seen the issue where at least Vmware Workstation9 is not sending keyboard input properly to a guest? This is on a Windows7 host system, and at first I thought the issue was strictly limited to Windows 7 host with a screen reader, and windows x guest also with a screen reader running. In those circumstances doing a control g on the vm, or going to the vm menu and selecting grab input, certain keys are not passed, for example the numpad keys appear to … [View More]

Hello, Do any of you use any decent tools for managing holidays in your team? I need something that will do the following: 1. Let me record sick leave. 2. Let me schedule annual leave. 3. Warn me if I've scheduled annual leave at a time when someone else is on annual leave. 4. If it would tell me a week in advance when someone is on leave it would be fantastic. 5. .net based would also be preferable. Any suggestions? Regards Darragh

Running VM's on your desktop.

I'm asking the question again so sorry for the repetition. What software are you using on your desktop to run vitual machines? I need to run VM's on Windows 8.1 X64. These VM's will primarily run Windows 7 but it's likely I'll need to spin up a few Linux VM's as well. Any suggestions? I was usingVMware workstation for a good while but the jaws keys weren't passing through to the guest. I tried Hyper-V but I had no luck with that at all as exclusive mode wouldn't work properly. Again with Jaws.
