We use RDP here a lot, and I have a JFW remote licence, so I just have the server components installed on the servers I am responsible for. We also have a citrix VDI infrastructure that uses the receiver (workspace) client to connect but I haven't investigated getting JFW on there as I don't use it. -----Original Message----- From: Katherine M. I use it both at the company where I work, or at least the company does (both straight up RDP as well as Citrix implementations are in use), as well as using PowerShell and RDP as my primary methods of communicating with servers on my local and off site networks for personal projects, on which I can actually be productive since my servers have screen readers. My understanding regarding VDI/remote GUI access is that the host you're connecting to has to provide the accessibility features. I'd be interested to know otherwise. Remote Desktop in the modern age

Hi, The recent discussions on here for remote desktop have lead me to ask this question. Are the remote desktop protocols used today giving enough in accessibility? I know we have RDP and Citrix capabilities, but to be honest I have seen very few Citrix implementations these days, and more and more is being done with custom web plugins, especially in the VDI space. What potential options do we have going forward, are the current access methods likely to become outdated and who was responsible/is now responsible for maintaining the access via the new protocols? Citrix web plug-in with JAWS

Good morning list, I am going for a job and they are using Citrix with the web plug-in, from what I have read JFW will only work with the Citrix receiver client and not the plug-in. Can someone please confirm this? A support call and email to freedom scientific gave mixed results, that is the phone call said no and the email said yes. Thanking you in advance Iaen Cordell.

Yes, it is connected. There’s no sound on win10 either unfortunately. I don’t think easy install works for server does it? Hi, I used Grey Log and it was very much accessible in it's entirety. I had no issues to speak of. It is a great solution for dealing with large quantities of equipment connecting to it as a SysLog server. Sound on VMWare

Hi all When first creating a Windows VM, with host server 2016 and guest server 2016, I get up to the server setup screen, where you choose the Lang and time zone and all that, I need narrator to help me through the install process. However when starting narrator, there’s no sound from the VM. I’m using workstation player 14 and in the VM settings the sound card is set to use host default sound card. Anyone got any ideas why there’s no sound coming up? The narrator dialogue box pops up but just no sound. Thanks for any help. Equipment for Interview

Hi All, I am scheduled next week for an interview with a local organization. They provided me with some details that I will need to perform specific tasks on some equipment. Have any of you had any dealings with these below as it relates to their accessibility in their interfaces.
