If you ever figure out what that setting is, let me know. I'm pulling my hair out, and as I said Microsoft support doesn't know either. For what its worth, I have another guest account, same tennant, different team, that can get in and out just fine. I'm about to delete the team and totally recreate it from scratch, that will be annoying as I have the file area set up like I want it, but perhaps that can't be helped. It works with us using external user collaboration, but we want to be able to interact with an actual team rather than using group chats. Right now we believe it may have to do with some restrictions on either of our tenants, but we haven't managed to get the relevant admins together to troubleshoot the issue. With this particular client I am trying to do as much as possible with guest accounts rather than revering to using a real account at their end and a virtual desktop. guest accounts in Microsoft 365?

Hi there: I was wondering if any of the other Microsoft 365 tennant admins on this list have been running into issues with guest accounts lately? Specifically, I have a team in Teams that I’ve granted access to two guest users, but neither of them can sign in. On my end things look fine, the accounts are enabled and they show up fine in Teams. I even tried deleting and recreating one of the guest accounts and still get the same issue. The user just gets a generic “sorry, we can’t sign you in right now” error. Microsoft support has be absolutely useless with this, I’ve had a ticket open for almost three weeks and they have no clue what’s going on.So, thought I’d ask here just in case someone else has seen this. Gmail users kicked off the list

Heads up: Problems with Pearson Vue exams and Jaws

Hi. Tried to take a Microsoft exam today but for some reason none of the content of the test was speaking even though the check-in process worked. I last got through some tests in January, so either a Jaws or Pearson test update has broken things. When the test launched all I could hear was Chromium Window. I have a contact in the accommodations team so will try and push to get this sorted and will let you guys know here any updates. Thanks. Andrew.

Mounting a Networked Drive on Debin 11 or 12

I'm just about to upgrade to Debian 12, but if I could get this answered for 11, especially if it's the same on 12, I'd be happy. I used to do this on Debian 8, but apparently things have changed. No surprise there, but I can't figure out from research exactly what the change is. The following line in /etc/fstab worked on Debian 8: //192.168.1.156/BigVol1 /mnt/bigvol1 cifs _netdev,username=<the-username>,password=<the-password>,ro 0 0 After a reboot, the directory /mnt/bigvol1 is there, but not the resource to which it points. Should I be using cifs-utils and using its fstab syntax?

Raspberry Pi 4, Kali Linux headless install/configuration

Hello, Does anyone have a headless install of Kali Linux going? I was doubting my hardware then I put a Debian distro on this new sdxc card via Raspberry Pi Imager, added in an empty "ssh" file and a WiFi wpa_supplicant.conf configuration file, and it popped right up. Further googling shows that in the Kali image after I think they said 2022 this system did not work anymore or had been disabled, but I've not been able to find out the new method. Any help appreciated. Thanks. Dave.

Hello, Anybody had any luck making vibor on windows desktop accessible? No matter what I try, JAWS, NVDA or Narrator, nothing seems to be working. I am trying googling for JAWS scripts to no avail. -- This email has been checked for viruses by AVG antivirus software. www.avg.com

JAWS and windows 10

Hi List, For those using jaws and windows 10, Do you perhaps have some advice for me please, with the following issues I experience below? I find that JAWS is not reading search results in the start menu, I don't hear items in combo boxes, I'm not able to review text in edit boxes in apps like Whatsapp, and I can't use the Microsoft store reliably. It sounds like a video accessibility driver issue but I'm not too sure. Clean install of windows 10 up to date. Ensured that I'm using the correct and up to date display driver. Have done a reinstall of jaws, latest version. I've enabled the start menu, access out of process option. Use accessibility display driver for capture option is checked. This is also happening on my work machine using windows 10 but I could get by with it for now. The only reason why I am still sticking with windows 10 is because I find that there is less of a lag compared to windows 11, where all works just fine. My home machine does not support windows 11 officially, but if I install it anyway, all seems to work fine. Any help would be much appreciated, apologies for posting such an unrelated question to this type of list. Kind Regards
