Hello, I'm looking for a project management tool and I'm hoping someone here might have a suggestion. MS Project isn't a viable option at the moment. Required features: * Add contributors from within and outside this organization. * Standard fields such as task name, dependency, assigned to, start date, end date, total time, complete. * Add notes to tasks. * Highlight tasks assigned to the user. * Must be fully accessible. * Preferably web based. Normally it should work. Though it might be getting some conflicts when multiple people try to save the file. But that's a windows problem in general i guess. There is also an android app that seems to be pretty accessible. so you could drop the database on dropbox or google drive and might access it from there. though i don't know if that would work. W2k19 no sound with screen reader and sound blaster

Hello Everyone, I am building ProLiant DL server with Windows server 2019, desktop experience setup. Everything went good so far until I started installing screen reader software. I have installed sound blaster sound card into the server, installed drivers and can hear windows sounds when working in desktop, but when screen reader software installed such JAWS or NVDA, there is no screen reader talking. Both screen readers installed but do not work with Sound blaster Audigy FX. Screen readers work with different portable USB sound card. Any ideas what am I missing? Audio service should be on as I hear desktop sounds no problem. Anatoliy

Hi, I am looking into password managers and wonder if anyone has found 1 to be accessible. I am trying out Dashlane because we have free licenses through our cyber insurance but it does not seem to be accessible. Thanks. ###

Hi Troy, We are using KeePass 2. Works fine. The database sits on a share, the software is installed on each computer we need it on. Affirmative action forms

When filling out job applications I often come across affirmative action or diversity forms that you must fill out in order to complete the application. These include sections relating to disability. The dropdown menus usually include an "I decline to answer" option, but you can't just leave it blank. I feel like this is forcing me to shoot myself in the foot in terms of my chances of getting an interview. Here's why: If I explicitly indicate that I have a disability, they won't consider me. Yeah yeah I know the standard response: "But discrimination is illegal, and they're incentivized to hire disabled people." There's zero chance of me proving I wasn't considered due to my disability vs any other reasons a candidate is filtered out. As for incentives. If they're going to hire a disabled person, they'll hire a book keeper in a wheelchair or something else where the disability has absolutely no effect on how the person does their job. If I say that I don't have a disability than I've lied on the job application, and it'll be obvious when I walk into the interview with a dog. If I say "I decline to answer" (this isn't the same as leaving the field blank, you usually can't continue until all fields are filled.) then I feel like not only will they know I have a disability, but I have one that I want to hide from potential employers. No able bodied person is going to decline to answer the question. There's no downside for them to say they don't have a disability. I've had four interviews in the last two months. Two of them went very badly. One was for a night shift at an NOC where the guy flat out told me I couldn't do the job. The other one crashed and burned because they wanted someone with a drivers license. (that's a frustratingly common requirement for these MSP and K-12 school jobs). Another interview was super short. They asked me a few boilerplate tech questions that anyone with an A+ could answer, and that was pretty much it. I don't think it was even 15 minutes. Sorry this turned into kind of a rant, but I wanted your opinion on these affirmative action forms. Am I crazy for thinking this?

Browser Issues with JAWS and NVDA

Hi All, I have an issue on multiple PC's where when I login to the Mikrotiks or UBNT equipment, it freezes the browser because the interface tables are dynamically updating and the screen readers can't seem to handle it. Do you have any suggestions besides doing this all in SSH? Thanks, Billy

Hi, Yes i can confirm this sluggishness. NVDA 2019.2, Router OS 6.39.1. I don't know if that refreshing can be turned off in the settings of the router somehow. After loggin into it, go through the config tree and click on Interfaces. This is where it will become an issue. Sometimes after the devices are setup... after login, it will automatically put you in the interfaces page which keeps you from getting to anywhere else because it freezes.
