Anybody recall the magic key sequence needed to rescue a Windows 7 computer from a Win7 installation CD? I believe it involves booting from the CD, opening a command window, and then typing a rescue command. Googl ing tells me that you can open a command window when booted from an installer CD by pressing F10. Lots of people say you can then type "bootrec /fixboot" but that doesn't seem to work. I've done this before and that doesn't ring a bell. I think there is a command to run the rescue program on the CD but I can't recall what it is. -- --- John G. Hello, I'm looking for a phone based solution, preferably free or low cost, that'll do OCR on a computer screen? My issue would be to use it to obtain information on boot up errors, selecting items in a boot list, for example newer boards the f12 options? Thanks. Dave.

Windows 7 Ultimate question

Hi all, Don't know if this is the right list, but maybe someone on here is able to help. I am currently running Windows 7 Professional wich works fine, except that I need to use the speech recognition feature. However, since Windows 7 Pro is in Swedish I am not able to change language to English wich the speech recognition is using. This is really frustrating. So my question is, has anyone seen a good price on Ultimate or knows if one can order an Ultimate product key from somewhere? I can get around this if I use Windows 8 wich I purchased earlier on a discount, but i don't like the interface. Any help is really apreciated many thanks! Christian

Has anybody out here used Discoverer to draw reports from an Oracle database? I know that Oracle, as a rule, isn't very accessible and I am wondering if this product is. I am using the latest JFW. Thx, Jeff

Citrix.

Good afternoon, I'm connecting to a client site at the moment and they use Citrix. I've got access to their web portal and I've selected the server... or what I thought was the server. Once this worked, I am presented with a really strange dialogue. The window title is remote desktop remote 256 bit ssl / tls. I'm aware thanks to some messing around with OCR on my phone that I'm presented with a list of servers but no screen reader will interact with this. I'm slightly stumped. I have to get access to the server that needs to be worked on but I cannot under any sercomstnaces choose the wrong server. Have any of you experience with using Citrix? Is it normal that screen readers just won't interact with this dialogue?
