Hi folks, I’m joining an ICT team where they’re about to buy in several new laptops to add to our network. I’ve not gotten a chance to see the setup yet but was wondering if any particular software is used for cloning and rollout in enterprise environments, what the access implications are etc. From a home user point of view, I’ve set up win7 machines without eyes to help, using narrator then installing JFW or whatever. One would assume some form of unattended installation takes place for a larger number of systems. It’ll be win 7 of some description, so any advice or input anyone has would be helpful; especially if I can get in before they have firmed up their procedures so I can build in access from the ground up. Hello, I am sorry for the off topic post, but i wanted to know if someone has any experience with the above cisco IP phone and its accessibility. The company i am working for have just roled these phones out to everyone and seeing as they have a range of features, is there a way to make this functionality accessible? The phone that has been given to us is the Cisco IP phone 7942. I know that there are third party applications that can be installed on this phone, but i would be grateful for any more information on how to go about this. Regards, Chamandeep Singh

Belkin f9k1001 router and hard setting IP addresses

Hello, I've got this device it's running Belkin's latest firmware. I'm wanting to set up some static ranges, i've got some network devices that when they come up on the network i'd like for them always to get the same ip address and outside my dhcp pool. I have not found this feature, if anyone has this router please let me know. Thanks. Dave.

Seagate Goflex home 3TB drive?

Hello, Has anyone dealt with this drive? I'm trying to hook it up to my network and let the various computers on the network see it and put files on to it. Thus far it is not working and if anyone has this drive i'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks. Dave.

Hi folks, The above mix is great when it works, but a pain when one breaks down. I cant' seem to find a way for a user with an IOS device to get the prompt to change their AD password after a reset. I'll try and explain ina brief scenario. Customer rings Helpdesk, have forgotten their password. Helpdesk resets the password in AD, and enables the pfor the user to change it upon their enxt log-in. This is fine if the user is in front of their computer they log-on to the domain, as Windows will prompt them. However, if they're accessing their emails through Exchange and IOS and the above scenario take splace they wont' get this change password prompt. Therefore the Helpdesk will have tos et a permanent password. Not good. Has anyone came across this and if so found either a workaround or a solution, on have any theories on this? Thanks, Barry. Remote assistance

Hi all, have just subscribed to this list and have done some searching, but just want to be sure that I am not missing anything here. I need to configure a Windows 7 based system remotely, but the person doesn't have JAWS or Window-Eyes, although he can install it. Are there any other alternative I should look into? I have read about Seroteks RIM, but are there any other solutions as of today? Many thanks for any info, Christian
