SCCM with NVDA.

Hello, I'm trying to transition from Jaws to NVDA for more day to day tasks but there are a few items that just don't work as expected. One of these is the SCCM main list view. Jaws reads this well but NVDA seems to get bogged down by something after reading a few items. For example: 1. Open SCCM. 2. Press control 1. 3. Press Control T to set focus to the treeview. 4. Press D twice to jump to the device collections view. 5. Press Control M to set focus to the list view. 6. Firstly NVDA reports unknown. This seems to be a problem with recognising that control but it's not a big deal. 7. Press tab a few times to get to the list view. 8. Arrow around using the up and down arrows. 9. NVDA speaks as expected. 10. Now press End. NVDA stops responding for a while. 11. Now when you arrow around the list it takes NVDA about 5 to 10 seconds to read out the currently focused list item. Say line doesn't update until the same 5 to 10 seconds time period as well. This could be a SCCM problem but I doubt it. I think it's NVDA related. If any of you have good contacts within the NVDA team would you mind bringing this up please? I assume that if I submit it via the NVDA Bugzilla site it will get put into a very long queue. I know they had an interest in making more system administration tools work with NVDA previously. I'm hoping that they are still interested in this. Hello, I'm wanting to do an android upgrade on my phone. I don't have a pair of eyes around for this task. I was wondering if it were possible to cast the screen to my tablet, also running android, and have the tablet's talkback version work with the phone upgrade? Thanks. Dave.

debian 9.3 as guest on vmware workstation 14, win10 host

Hello, I'm attempting to do an install of debian 9.3 x64 as a guest in workstation 14. The host OS is win10 v1709. I've read compatibility issues and have confirmed I am not using accelerated 3d graphics in the vm, and am using the LSI virtual scsi adapter in the vm. I'm using orca software speech for the install. At different points during the install speech stops and I'm assuming the vm has frozen. This does not happen at the same point of the install. The vm has 16GB of ram and a quad core processor for hardware. Suggestions welcome. Thanks. Dave.

Authenticating using Authy, Google Authenticator, etc.

Hi, I'm a newbie when it comes to these and haven't yet tried setting one up. My question is what's the easiest way to get a QR code into the authenticator app? All documentation talks about scanning it, something at which I'm not terribly skilled. I'd appreciate it if you'd share your experiences and offer up advice. Driver management?

Hi Listers, I'd like to please know what solutions do you make use of when it comes to driver management? I realise that many of you are sys admins and don't deal with managing existing drivers or installing new drivers, but for those who do, do you just download them from the official site? or are their tools that are able to get the correct drivers from the official sites? I am aware of the unofficial driverpacks, but would prefer not to use them for stability and security reasons. Your input would be much appreciated. Kind Regards
