help with Accessibility or alternatives for some cisco apps?

Hi listers. I'd like to know if anybody has come in to contact with and possibly have a workaround regarding accessibility , or has found alternative applications for the following cisco products? cisco IP communicator: no accessibility at all with JFW, NVDA, or supernova. cisco jabber: App is useable to some extent but definitely needs more work for ease of use. Cisco Unified Attendant Console I've had a very breif moment with these apps as we were trying to help someone get setup using a switchboard that the company has. Any help or alternatives for these apps would be much appreciated. I just want to say a thank you to all members on this list for helping each other. I really don't know where else to ask. Looking for a reliable way to generate Windows VMs for testing.q

Hi everyone, I know this seems to come up quite a lot in various forms, but I haven't yet found a solution that works well for me and I'm not actually a Windows person much of the time. Background: I work in tech support and do everything currently from first to third line. I'm mainly on Mac and Linux, but some times I need to test GUI apps on Windows. Also there is now a drive to make one of our products more accessible, starting with NVDA/Jaws on Windows. I therefore want a way to be able to reliably spin up Windows VMs for testing that is as fast as possible. At present I would be happy with only Windows10, if accessibility makes this an easier process than older versions. The ultimate would be to have the ability to spin up VMs from Win7 to Win10, with NVDA running. I am happy to use pre-built Vagrant boxes, to save on build time if that is possible. What I have tried so far: I did some experiments with Vagrant and Packer, but this took a very long time and I never really got to the state of getting NVDA installed and running. I then tried with some of the pre-build Windows boxes. The plan was to install chocolaty, then use it to install NVDA. I could not do this over SSH, because the power shell scripts would not run. I tried switching to using RDP, but still could not get the scripts to automatically run, because they were not getting transferred to the box. This may be because my knowledge of Vagrant is lacking. Questions: Is it possible to provision a pre-built Windows box with Chocolaty and then NVDA, using a power shell script that is placed on the machine when the Vagrant script runs for the first time? If not, then is using something like Puppet or Chef the way to go? Or, is the way to get what I want to build the boxes from scratch using Packer? Not sure if this matters but I have found VirtualBox accessibility on the MAc to be really really lacking, so am planning to get the Vagrant Plugin for VMWare, so I can actually access my machines GUI once they are built and working. Usage of Eloquence/Vocalizer add-on for NVDA in corporate environment

Hi, Is anyone here using new add-on for Eloquence and Vocalizer for NVDA from Codefactory in the corporate enviromment in non administrative mode, and does it work good for you? Here in the European parliament we are currently dooing testing evaluation of new AT products for blind employees, and actually it looks like that Codefactory did not do their job properly because the add-on refuse to run in non admin mode. However if the user has the admin rights, than the add-on works fine, but after the user is pulled out of the admin group, the add-on is asking for the registration and it does not want to run. Btw the add-on is already registered, and when the user is in the admin group, you can see that the licence is valid. Thanks.

NVDA: Distributing NVDA over a network to many computers

Hi All, As I guess I once said I started working as a sysadmin in our city hall a year ago. I am successfully using NVDA and the NVDA remote plugin to access others pcs and help them solving problems. All clients and servers share the same NVDA settings on a network share which works fine. Over the year i have various versions of NVDA all over the network and ask if i can distribute NVDA over WSUS or install it via GPO? Or is there another possibility? Active Directory site/domain design

Hi all, In a multiple site design, is it necessary or recommended to have a separate domain for each site as a child of the primary domain? Or is Active Directory Sites and Services enough for site separation, or does it depend on the purpose for the site design? I'm just curious what everyone thinks, because our setup has a domain for each site, and I'm trying to see if we can possibly cut that down to a single domain, since we're all part of the same project, just different locations, and would it not be possible to configure which domain controller a computer logs onto via locale alone, or does it have to be done via domain? I've not done this in a while, so I'm asking the experts. Thanks.

Hello, I just decided to publish some of my Projects on GitHub for known reasons. Could anyone using it? Is there a way to manage repo's and commits with Jaws on Windows? I'll bring all of them to my Unix machine as soon as possible, but currently going with Windows based local computer. Thanks for your answers.
