Hello, Yes, I did try your suggestion. However it did not work for me. Perhaps I did not set it up correctly, but I was not able to easily identify the changes, and switch between the two windows. Maybe I will try it again when I have some time. Hi All, Some time back I wrote on this list to ask whether there was an accessible solution for comparing code in visual studio. Well, now I think I have found something that works quite well. The best i've seen so far to be honest. The comparison tool is called Code compare. https://www.devart.com/codecompare/ Once set up, you can move between the source and target files using control 1 and control 2. move to the next and previous differences with alt + up/down arrows. and replace content from one file to other by using alt + left/right arrow keys. The only thing that doesn't automatically happen for screen readers is when you switch to the other window, the line numbers are not in sync. So you have to ensure you find the correct matching lines by doing the same number of next difference keystrokes on both sides. Please give this a go and let everyone know your findings. Starting NVDA or Narrator from command prompt or power shell?

Hi everyone, I am still on my quest to be able to set up a Windows Box with Vagrant, that is provisioned with NVDA and that will provide some sort of speech output once the provisioner has run. I have now managed to get the provisioner to run on a Windows10 box, after messing about with 'winrm' for a while. This script installs the NVDA package using 'choco'. I don't think it's the latest but better than nothing. However NVDA does not automatically start once the package is installed. Note currently I don't have access to a physical box running Windows that I can test stuff out on. I am looking for a way to start either NVDA or Narrator from the command prompt or power shell, so I can at least get some feedback. I have tried going to the VM GUI and using the NVDA short cut key as a quick work-around, but nothing seemed to happen. Also as I am being lazy and not building my own Vagrant box, a quick way to enable Audio if it is disabled is appreciated. I think it is available on the box I have, but I may play with different Windows boxes in the future. Thanks in advance for any suggestions, Jen!

Protection against malware on a new Windows 10 system

As noted previously on this list, I recently purchased a new laptop, which is intended to run both Linux and Windows. On the Windows side, I need to guard against viruses and other forms of malware. Whatever solution I put in place has to be accessible with a screen reader. I have some system administration experience (with my own machines and, occasionally, helping others - almost entirely under Linux), so I'll take the obvious precautions - keeping the system and applications up to date, only installing software from reputable sources, etc. In other words, I won't make the obvious mistakes that people who don't know any better tend to make. Currently, Windows Defender is running by default. In the reviews I've read, it has been criticized for its virus detection accuracy, but those reviews aren't necessarily recent. What are others doing and recommending at the moment?

Screen sharing question

Hi, I want to share my computer screen, especially one program window with a sighted person. However, since I don't know him that well, I want only to share the screen and so he does not have the ability to control it. Is Teamviewer The best solution do you think if you set up limitations in it? Many thanks, Christian

I'm using the acme-client and trying to get certificates, now one run worked for one of my domains, the other reports a bad exit status. I'd appreciate any help, I'm rather frustrated. Thanks. Dave.

Windows Server 2016

Before I launch in to Microsoft's support over Server 2016, has anyone had experience of SMB (Server Message Block) and Best Practices Analyzer. I'm trying to resolve 45 errors and warnings, and we suspect that a large number of the SMB warnings are occurring because some other Service(s) is not running. Google has failed to help solve, so unless someone has experienced similar, I will just have to use one of my costly supports incidents. George

Replacement for net stumbler?

Greetings everyone, I am looking for a wireless survey tool to perform WI-FI survey, adjust AP signal and channels. Is there anything out there that is accessible? I have previously used net stumbler with windows XP but it's dated now and no longer works with latest OS. I am a windows guy, but might be open to build a Linux rig if there is something accessible for Fedora or Ubuntu. Can't find anything on IOS market as well. Any suggestions are welcome and much appreciated Anatoliy
