Complete backup solution recommendation?

Hello, I have a desktop Windows based machine, would like to create a full backup/snapshot to use instead of formatting etc. It contains very complex configurations and I don't want to do everything from the scrach. My configuration below: •Dual boot with Windows 7 and 10 •512 GB Samsung Pro 950 M2 disk, NVEME, operating systems are installed in there., •An other harddrive is installed, I can use it for backup or can create a backup on the network. Looking for a complete solution. Everything is easy with Linux; but Windows... Thanks in advance.

Narrator in WinPE Windows 10 build 1703

Hi all, I'm trying to find the documentation for this. I'm trying to find the WinPE documentation for how to get Narrator going inside of it so that I can create a reference image of Windos 10 and Windows 2016 Server as well. They mention it in the change log for the Creators update, but then it seems that we're in the dark about the procedure on how to do it. Especially when Windows SIM and Image designer are in the mix.

Anyone have any luck with service station/?

Hi, I’m starting a new job and they use service station for ticketing / change requests. I get moderate results with JFW but nothing consistent enough to use. Many times nothing appears with controls or parts are in the wrong place etc. Does anyone have any experience with this tool and any suggestions for using it effectively? Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks Scott

Urgent Help please: freePBX 13 on debian no longer working

Hello Everyone. Firstly, let me thank all of you on list for past help provided. I have the following problem which I hope you can assist with. I recently bought a fanless gigabyte brix computer with an intel atom J1900 CPU. My intention was to run debian with freePBX on it. It arrived and I put in a 128GB SSD with 4GB of Ram. I used the 32bit debian netinstall iso file to install debian, then used the following guide to install asterisk: https://wiki.freepbx.org/display/FOP/Installing+FreePBX+13+on+Debian+8.1 Everything installed fine and asterisk was working like a dream. this all took place about a month ago. I recently decided to purchase another brix and create a backup switchboard. Having purchased a similar model with a slightly different CPU, I used the same guide to the letter and followed the same steps to install asterisk. It would not work. FreePBX kept telling me it couldn't connect to asterisk in the browser when I applied the config and asking me to check for the existence of various config files all of which exist and are writeable. Usernames and passwords for SQL are correct. Asterisk and free PBX will run fine when i initially install, but when I reboot asterisk refuses to run. I then thought it was something I'd done, so tried reinstalling from scratch with different sticks of ram, formatting the SSD, different network IP addresses i.e DHCP instead of assigning a static IP address, changing DNS servers, etc. I must've reinstalled now at least 6 times. I then thought i'd try and be clever but in fact was very stupid. I decided to see if I could reinstall to the originnal brix in future if it ever failed, and format the original brix and reinstall asterisk on there to see if that would work. That no longer works either. So i'm left in a position where I have no switchboard and have to go back to my trusty raspberry pi. The reason why I switched from the Pi 3 in the first place was because recordings were being mangled by the pi, they were being recorded in such a way that both channels were mixed so both people were talking over each other probably because of the fact everything is running from the micro SD card, or lack of CPU processing power. Does anyone have any idea if anything has broken recently when it comes to free PBX? I did read on a forum that PHP 5.6 may not play well with FreePBX 13, but I couldn't find any official documentation confirming this. Is there a way I could force install an earlier version of PHP and see if that fixes anything? I would really like to get a reliable system up and running where I do not need sighted help to install it. The official free PBX distro requires sighted help to install as it's based on red hat, so I'm left wondering what other distros I can use that are reliable and where asterisk isn't such a sod to get up and running. It's such a shame, when it works it's wonderful. I wish the error messages would not keep changing. I have searched countless online forums over the last 3 days but non of the solutions seem to fix the problems I'm having, they all seem to refer to different errors. I know this list has a max message size limit and may not allow attachments, so I will not paste a copy of a sample log below. It can be sent if necessary. I am vexed why the install would work absolutely fine the first time round with what appears to be the exact same steps but refuses to work ever since. If someone knows of a turn key distro I could use or a more reliable distro that doesn't require sighted help to install from scratch and maintain, I would really appreciate any help. If someone is prepared to troubleshoot FreePBX remotely via SSH or the web, that could also be an option. Thanks for reading, Mo.

My objective with this group is to provide a convenient medium for people who are technology creators to discuss relevant topics and get feedback from peers. I hope that anyone who is interested in collaborating about tech topics will join and add others who might be interested in participating. The other group is Project Connect. the goal for this group is to provide a convenient medium for developers, admins, and others to discuss and share ideas about their projects. Question about Windows Server Core

Hi all, I really want to try this, and I'd like to do it with as few eyes as possible. Has anyone gotten NVDA to work on server Core? If so, how? And is the audio service able to run on it? I can access it remotely through server manager and PSRemoting just fine, but it's that initial stuff that I might have some issues with. Thoughts and insights would be awesome. Thanks!

Hi All, I am following an online tutorial, which seems to use the package manager console quite a bit. When I go to the console, I can see my inputs, but not sure how to read the output window and confirm whether my command has been excecuted successfully? The only way I can read some of this is using the touch cursor and navigating to the text output section. But this is not efficient at all as I have to hear a lot of useless information before getting to the actual data. I don't know how much this will be required later on, but so far it is to enable migrations and to add migrations. Thanks for any help you can give. Regards, Chamandeep Singh Grover

Accessibility of Intel AMT (Active Management Technology)

I'm considering buying a laptop that happens to have Intel AMT. Based on the documents I've read, serial-over-LAN may be accessible with a screen reader (there is the Linux amtterm utility, for example). Enabling AMT and setting the password would require assistance, unless there's a work-around to using BIOS configuration screens. I don't know how accessible the Web interface is. Vnc is a graphics protocol, which would not be accessible. Those with greater knowledge are welcome to comment, particularly if you've experimented with this on real hardware.

Linux/Windows virtualization with screen readers and a braille display involved

I'm contemplating the purchase of a new laptop, having reached the conclusion that I'll probably need to run Linux and Windows alongside each other. The right way to do this (minimizing reboots) is to virtualize one of them. I can use screen readers in both environments, and also have a braille display that would need to be switched between the two. There are plenty of opportunities for problems and inconveniences here. Is there a virtualization environment that reliably works in this scenario? I've used KVM under Linux before, but only with a Linux guest OS. I know Microsoft have their own virtualization solution that could be used with Windows as the host system and Linux as the guest. Linux is the system with which I've had most experience. I've been using a Windows 10 machine at work, and there are some applications only available there that I know I'll need to some extent (principally, OCR tools and Microsoft Office, at least until LibreOffice accessibility under Linux improves sufficiently). There are also some teleconferencing applications such as WebEx that I may need. I'll probably also need Linux software that isn't compatible with the Linux Subsystem for Windows, which is why I'm preparing for the likely need to virtualize one of the operating systems. I'm just investigating my options at this stage. Relevant information would be welcome.

Setting up Bit Locker on Windows 10

Hi all, Just curious when you reboot to turn on the TPM does it come back to the Windows login or into an environment where it's not possible to use even Narrator? In Windows 7 it could encrypt on the fly from within Windows. Thanks, Barry.
