You're trying to install a native Linux application into a Bash shell. >From what I understand, this functionality is a shell. You cant think of it like a Linux environment within Windows. Therefore installing things like Java won't be possible. Use cases for me at the moment are quite simple. Using commands like cat, grep, cat, awk etc for looking at logs. I have encountered this problem much sooner than I thought. I cant seem to access this VCenter system using Vsphere 6. The error is: An unknown connection error occurred. (The client received an invalid response from the server. (The server committed a protocol violation. Any ideas? I've tried using the web UI but I cant seem to make any sehnse of it. I can find list boxes and a good fewbuttons. Once I moved to hosts and clusters. However, I cant get to the tree view for VM's. I'm in a bit of a bind. I need to provision two servers today. I have no idea what I'm going to do. Maybe I could connect using powershell? I must look into that. TO provision the servers, I first need to explore the data stores and networks on this cluster so I know where to put this VM. As someone here likes to say, I'm bunched! Any help very appreciated. Hi and thanks for taking the time to get back to me. As far as I am aware, we are using 2012 but I will see what I can find out. I Am using JAWS17, the latest version. I Would really like to be able to take a look at the details of an asset e.g. when it last checked back with the console for updates and when it last checked for virus updates. I’m guessing you’re using one of the newer ones, I manage SCCM for a world-wide company and while it is a challenge here are some basic tips. The SCCM application itself is extremely busy, both in functionality and user interface. It just does a ton of things. Active Directory auditing

Does anyone know of a tool, native to Server 2012 or third party that would allow me to generate a basic logon/logoff report by user? My organization isn't really having any issue since we are very flexable with people using VPN connections and working from home. HIPAA compliance requires that we at least be able to pull a report when necessary. Any recommended tools out there? Thanks.
