You're trying to install a native Linux application into a Bash shell. >From what I understand, this functionality is a shell. You cant think of it like a Linux environment within Windows. Therefore installing things like Java won't be possible. Use cases for me at the moment are quite simple. Using commands like cat, grep, cat, awk etc for looking at logs. I have encountered this problem much sooner than I thought. I cant seem to access this VCenter system using Vsphere 6. The error is: An unknown connection error occurred. (The client received an invalid response from the server. (The server committed a protocol violation. Any ideas? I've tried using the web UI but I cant seem to make any sehnse of it. I can find list boxes and a good fewbuttons. Once I moved to hosts and clusters. However, I cant get to the tree view for VM's. I'm in a bit of a bind. I need to provision two servers today. I have no idea what I'm going to do. Maybe I could connect using powershell? I must look into that. TO provision the servers, I first need to explore the data stores and networks on this cluster so I know where to put this VM. As someone here likes to say, I'm bunched! Any help very appreciated. Hi and thanks for taking the time to get back to me. As far as I am aware, we are using 2012 but I will see what I can find out. I Am using JAWS17, the latest version. I Would really like to be able to take a look at the details of an asset e.g. when it last checked back with the console for updates and when it last checked for virus updates. Also the status of the virus update would be good. Hi: What version of SCCM are you using? The older SCCM 2007 admin console was really easy to use, but the newer consoles (2012 and 2012R2) have become much more difficult to work with. I’m guessing you’re using one of the newer ones, I manage SCCM for a world-wide company and while it is a challenge here are some basic tips. I need the VSphere 5.5 and version 6 installers. Can anyone send them or links to them please? I cant log into Vmware at the moment. I have access to the web UI of 5 but I can no longer download theVsphere UI from there.
