not sure of sight and sound batteries. I bought one for a plextalk cd
player a short while ago for about £46 and it was alright at first but
when I didnt use it for about 3 weeks the battery wouldnt charge and the
player wouldnt work off the mains with the battery in. Probably old
stock. I also asked for abattery for a plextalk pt1 which is only a
small flat one and they wanted about £40 for that so I wasnt going to
take a chance again and am sticking to victor readers because when I
overcharged a battery and it swelled up they replaced it free of charge.

Did you get in touch with the North America office?
I have an email address for them. let's see if I'm bright enough to
transfer it into this email.

There it is. be careful of the greater-than or less-than signs.
If you have already contacted this place, well, just forget this email.
but if you were contacting some other place, this might be worth a try.
