Hi all, I hope it supports .brl and .brf files. All other devices can do this, including the Book Port plus, wich has the same hardware, so why can't the Pocket? deleting files and plextalk terms

I have just gotten this plextalk pocket. It is quite different from the booksense that my husband won. The thing that attracted me is that it is the first device that I was told you could actually edit on. But I notice that file structure and terminology seem to be different. One thing I notice is that in the delete settings, I go to delete a file, and it says I cannot delete this file. It is a file that I recorded on it with the internal microphone. What is the reason I cannot delete it? What am I doing wrong? Pam.

Don't worry, I guess we all have those moments. I forgot about the adapter thing, and I am not so clued up with the older hardware, so didn't even no you get adapters for those cards. Glad you stil keep the ptr2. I should get my hands on one soon. I con't wait. So does that mean the ptr1 take both PCIA and cf cards? I thought it only use PCIA cards. Goodluck with the celling. Hi everyone, I have a Plextalk PTR1 for sale and am asking £200 O.N.O. Original price was (I think) around £575. Although it is relatively old now, it has not be used much since it was bought and is in pretty much mint condition. Although it has the original CF card, there are no extra cards for use in the PCMCIA slot. Most of the normal accessories would be supplied with the unit. I am ideally looking to find a purchaser in the UK. Hi, I have just recently purchased a Plextalk Pocket, and joined the list yesterday. I was about to try to ask questions about Web Radio, podtasts, getting on to a wireless network and such; but I have now managed to connect successfully. (I'm still learning - among other things - what the various sounds mean, and the necessity to distinguish between the different sounds.) I'm in the Republic of ireland, by the way. Plextalk Pocket and Apple Earpods

Hi Everyone, I just learned something very interesting about the Plextalk Pocket and the Apple Earpods, which is, the headphones don't work with this particular Daisy player. These are the Earpods that have the built-in microphone for use with a cell phone, which means they have that third Plastic ring around the 3.5mm plug instead of the usual two for a set of stereo headphones. What I find so interesting about this is I've plugged these Earpods into a lot of different devices with no issues whatsoever. So what I'm wondering is what's different about the Plextalk Pocket Versus all these other devices I use? They include my Toshiba Portage laptop, Pioneer Inno XM radio, iPod Classic, iPhone 4S, original Kindle Fire, Kindle DX Graphite, Kindle 3/keyboard, Insignia portable HD radio, so as you can see that's quite a diverse collection of devices and 90% of them don't even have a microphone Input. So as I said before, why do they work and the Plextalk Pocket doesn't? Gene
