editing with the Plextalk Pocket

Hello, I have just made my first daisy recording on the Plextalk Pocket. Am I correct in understanding that the only editing I can do relates to setting headings and removing sections and headings? I had expected to be able to set navigational levels, cut and paste, split phrase etc as I can on my PTR1. Thanks, Steve

No, you can't connect to network and you can't record. You can play off sd Cards and usb. It has an internal memory and can play daisy books, cd, cd roms and mp3 discs. The ptn2 can also do most or all of what the ptx can do, except for network related features. It plays back DAISY titles and a number of audio formats such as MP3, WAV. It can also play synthetically formats such as TXT, DOC and HTML. As someone else also mentioned, it can be linked by WIFI for playing internet radio or for file transfer to the computer. All in all a really quite nice compact player. To my mind, the real bonus of the PTX1 is its ability to play from CD, SD card or USB and the ability to transfer from CD to the other media without using a computer. None of the other players are as flexible in this regard. Hope this helps. Hi, I've just joined this list. I have a Ptx1 and use NetPlexTalk. I've used Ptx1 for 3 years and NetPlexTalk for about 3 weeks. I have a question. Is there a newer Plextalk player after the Ptx1? If so, what are the new features? Thanks! Kelsey

You can also copy from CD to SD card or memory stick, and you can also store things in the internal memory. You cannot record on to CD though. PETER
