PRS and inverted folder order

I'm using the basic PRS software with Windows 7. I regularly use files from a particular folder to select and import into a daisy book. Until recently they were correctly alphabetically ordered. Now I find the order inverted and it has remained consistently like this. If I use Windows Explorer to look at the same folder it is correctly ordered. I cannot find anything in the PRS menus to correct this inverted order. Any ideas? BTW, this happened to me a couple years ago with a different folder. After several months it corrected itself. Needless to say, I do not know of anything I did to cause this. Thanks, Jeff

Hi all, A new technology has been developed to try and mitigate against non-legitimate and spam email which has been taking off in the last few months. This technology is called DMARC, and unfortunately is not compatible with email lists, as the email lists break the DMARC system and cause emails whose providers publish DMARC information to end up being rejected. This started causing the list server here issues several months ago when users were randomly being kicked off lists. There are a number of ways of mitigating against this issue, and the implementation I have chosen for the lists here will I hope be as non-intrusive to screen reader users as possible. Until yesterday, most of the lists weren't seeing the system in action, but sometime yesterday Gmail decided to publish DMARC records, so the system I put in place started seeing regular use across the lists. Here is the system put in place: For email reaching the list, the system will look up if a DMARC record is published for the domain. If no record is published, the message is sent out to the list as normal. If a DMARC record is published, the email is modified as followed: - The From: header is changed so that the text "Via Listname" is added to the person's name; - The email address in the From: header is replaced by the list address; - The Original from: header is put into the cc: header. This I think gives the best balance of deliverability for all users, without cluttering up screen reader users with other information in the message or the From: header. Yahoogroups have their own way of mitigating this for all messages, and I feel this causes extraneous information to be heard for example using the screen reader. Hi all, is there any advantage, or disadvantage to changing to the Canadian firm ware? Will my NLS key still work? Will it be able to read .BRF files? This is my one pet peeve with the Plex Talk, the fact that the Book Port, wich is the same hardware can do this, but the US version of the plex Talk can not. Members bouncing

Hi, There has been an issue with this list and some members who are on specific ISPs. The issue is now fixed but some members may have received a bounce message telling them their subscription has been disabled. If you enable the subscription again everything should be fine. The issue stems from DMARC polocies at some isps. Thanks. Andrew.

I bought 2 of them. They were $50 each time. I think I got mine from IRTI. But surprisingly, it was the same price every place I sought for it. The one I have does not have a battery; the static is the hinge thing. But forgive me if I'm stepping on the discussion. Beginners Issue

I downloaded the manual from the official web site. The total pages was 106. I then had an occasion to get a printed copy from the vendor from whom I purchased the Pocket and the total pages was 123. I don't know if the difference is significant. Utilizing a hardcopy manual is big help with a learning curve that I find very steep. I have found that Bob Smith of PLEXTALK NorthAmerica division to be very reliably responsive to phone calls and to emails. Jim
