plex 2 user's guide needed
by Penny Golden 14 Dec '18

14 Dec '18

I had 3 plextalk 2 machines. I just gave one away; i'd had the button pad replaced twice; it still isn't very good, for it takes so much pressure to press the keys. it works, but not too well. the person wants the user's guide. I know I've got it on a cd somewhere. He downloaded what he thought was the users guide; but it is something else, or not right somehow. Where do you really get the users guide. All best, Penny Golden pengold2(a)gmail.com

not sure of sight and sound batteries. I bought one for a plextalk cd player a short while ago for about £46 and it was alright at first but when I didnt use it for about 3 weeks the battery wouldnt charge and the player wouldnt work off the mains with the battery in. Probably old stock. I also asked for abattery for a plextalk pt1 which is only a small flat one and they wanted about £40 for that so I wasnt going to take a chance again and am sticking to victor readers because when I overcharged a battery and it swelled up they replaced it free of charge. cliff On 24/09/2018 09:59, peter wilkins wrote: > Sight and Sound in Northampton, England, still have batteries. Did you get in touch with the North America office? I have an email address for them. let's see if I'm bright enough to transfer it into this email. -- Bob Smith <support-northamerica(a)plextalk.com> -- There it is. be careful of the greater-than or less-than signs. If you have already contacted this place, well, just forget this email. but if you were contacting some other place, this might be worth a try. Best, Penny pengold2(a)gmail.com

plex talk 2 repair?
by Penny Golden 06 Jun '18

06 Jun '18

Hi. I have 3 plex talk 2's, and I need to have one repaired. I've had it repaired before; what happens is that the key pad gets to not functioning; you have to press, hope, pray, wait, and finally, maybe the key will be recognized. Well, IRTI out in Calif. fixed it for $75 once; now it's doing the same thing. Does anyone have any idea who repairs, if anyone nowadays? Thanks. Penny pengold2(a)gmail.com Thanks.

Big list server upgrade
by Andrew Hodgson 01 Jun '18

01 Jun '18

Hi all, Just to let you know there has been a major Mailman upgrade on the lists.hodgsonfamily.org lists and this means that the interface is quite different on the web side now. Hopefully everything is self explanatory but let me know if you have any issues. Likewise there may be some issues we need to work through as the system beds in. Thanks, Andrew.
