Plextalk pocket not recording properly

Hi, I have developed an ongoing issue with my Plextalk Pocket which I cannot resolve. When I am recording both with an auxiliary microphone or the built in microphone, after about 20 minutes it ceases to record as though I have pressed the stop button. I can resume recording but then it repeats the procedure just a few minutes later and then carries on in the same fashion. I can confirm that there is adequate space on the SD card and that the battery has a good charge in it. Any ideas please? Thanks, Steve

need a new stream url

In the last week the NPR Program Stream url that I got originally from a list of urls that someone sent along with my Plextalk has stopped working. All the other streams seem to still work fine. If there's an updated stream for the NPR Program Stream, would someone please post it? I can get my local NPR stations and the NPR news headline streams just fine. This is the stream that rebroadcasts previously aired NPR programs. Any help will be appreciated. Clifford

My thought is that if the drive was dead you would not get any audio out of it at all. I suggest that you try more aggressive mirror cleaning technology. There are cleaners that use not only the dry CD cleaner but also supply a liquid cleaner. You might show it to a technician at your local audio store and let them try and clean it as well. Hello Vicky. I've had my PTX1 for a number of years now, and I don't know if it is still supported. There are other players and recorders available though, so it certainly would be worth you contacting them. Peter

I don't think mine recorded. I think it just played. But I don't know what all those extra buttons were. Thanks Peter for your explanation. Is the PTX still a supported product? Would I contact Plexter.com to get one?
