Hi all, I have a new flat and with it comes a 1GBPs Ethernet connection as part of the building service. The router they have given me is causing me a lot of issues so I want to upgrade it. I have been looking at different models and I have discount a lot due to the 1GBPs connection. I have a Sophos router from a previous job, but it doesn't support IPV6. At this point I am looking at potentially going with a Synology router, the Unifi kit or a PFSense build. has anyone used any of this and can comment on the usability with JFW? i know the Synology will be pritty much the same as the NAS, though they don't have a demo site for the router. I am going to check out the Ubiquiti demo site next but I know people on this list were using it. Thanks. Andrew.

vmWare work station

hello dears please, when I use jaws 2018 or 2019 with vmWare workstation v10 host jaws keep speaking after use grab keyboard ctrl+G also, how I share host folder into guest machine? I unable to update vmWare cause of host cpu compatibility, I didn't use it from many years, hopefully you help me to configure these matters. thanks very much

Efficient IP now fully accessible.

Version 7.1 of Efficient IP will now be fully accessible. The company have worked with me for the past few weeks applying Aria to all tables, check boxes, navigation controls, form elements and other UI components that weren't quite accessible. IF you are in the market for a fantastic IPam solution, I highly recommend this company. I have been using their products for four years now. Version 6 was reasonably accessible. Version 5 was less so but Version 6, after an initial few days where they completely through the rule book out the window, is fantastic.

Skype screen sharing question

Hi all, This may be a little off topic, but I was just wondering if anyone has used the screen sharing feature in Skype? The reason I am asking is because a sighted person is going to look at my screen but I do not need to have control over his computer and he was wondering if I could use this feature. I have used Teamviewer but not this. So do you have any experience with this or do you recommend something else? Many thanks, Christian

VSphere.

Hello, Is there anyone on this list working with VSphere or dabbling from time to time? I'm still using the installed client but that is fast being removed. Last time I looked at the HTML5 interface, it wasn't great. So I'm wondering if there have been any improvements and / or is there anyone engaging with VMware? I don't have any contacts with VMware at the moment. So I cant push any questions any further than standard support channels. Please don't recommend power shell as an administration tool, this isn't currently viable for my needs. Thanks Darragh

Remote desktop gateway role accessibility.

I had a bright idea earlier to install the remote desktop gateway on Windows 2016. But it doesn't appear that the web UI is accessible. Jaws simply can't read anything in that interface. Has anyone encountered this?

Hi Billy, I haven't tried the server editions of Ubuntu but if they work like their debian versions you can hit s when the disk boots. then speakup should come up talking. Debian installations work very well and i have done those a few times. though i left most settings at their standards. You would need to have your server physically in front of you and you need a head phone jack there. But you can also connect a braille display to it and use the install that way. brltty comes up automatically and should detect your display. Then wait until you hear beeps or just wait a few seconds on a virtual machine. then hit s and then enter. then speakup should come up talking.
