I don't remember which Plantronics system I tried, but the issue was that the sound from my PC was heard by everyone on the phone. This wasn't practical since much of my work has me on several teleconferences. The only thing I've ever found on some of the various lists is the Plantronics SMH1783-11. It has a 3.5mm plug on one side for the computer, and the other ends in their proprietary quick disconnect plug that goes into an amplifier of some sort that then plugs into the phone. The thing costs around $300 and is a special order item, and so Plantronics told me, but headsets.com claims to have it in stock. I asked Plantronics about this thing as I have been thinking of getting into various kinds of phone work, and the guy said it only works with certain phones. Good solutions for splitting a headset between phone and computer?

Hi everyone, Perhaps a little OT, but I thought this would be a good place to ask the question anyway. At work I have been having some issues with our phone system, because we had phones with soft keys. I have been using an accessible SoftPhone running on Windows, but as a Mac is my main machine, I was using a KVM to go between them. I have some how hosed 3 or 4 KVMS in about a year. Also, the time it was taking for the USB devices to connect, was meaning I wasn't always able to get to the phone in time, or as quickly as I wanted. A possible short to medium term solution, is to get a Cisco phone with fixed buttons, so that I can do call hold, mute, transfer etc, but I don't want to have to where two headsets crossed over on top of my head, if I can help it. I have had really bad experiences with a Hagger splitter box in the past, and not sure if this would work with Voip Phones anyway. Any suggestions for boxes or leads, so that I can use one headset for computer speech and phone? Cheers, Jen.

Seems you can turn off the full gui and only use cli? but what? Can I use telnet and install features from cli?

Using Unattended setup files for one-off Windows server installs

Hi all, I've been looking at this for a bit and I can't find anything definitive. I'm trying to do the following: Create an autounattend.xml file via Windows SIM that covers all passes of the Windows installation Use my newly created file in order to install one of my Virtual machines (I don't care about capturing an image, for this is just so that I don't need to go through all of the steps manually, and so that I do not require the assistance of a sighted individual (sysprep and image capture will come later with SCCM) Ensure that Hyper-V will recognize the file (the question is where to place the file so that it is automatically discovered by Windows setup, since the use of a virtual rather than a physical machine seems to complicate things; read something about someone writing the file to the virtual DVD-Rom drive added to the VM, though God only knows how they did that) Input would be great ... Accessible network simulator

Hello. Due to my study classes, I faced an interesting problem, which is inaccessibility of Cisco Packet Tracer, and lack of any accessible alternative as far as I investigated it. But, possibly somebody can suggest something about it: Is any way of enabling accessibility in Packet tracer, and constructing networks there? Maybe some other software is available to accomplish simulation of basic networks conssisting of few routers, some computers, switches and DHCP server? Probably something script-driven and working in console mode, or dumping textual results into file? I found a NS-3 simulator, but at the moment, didn't go deep in it, because I'm not sure if it'll work for me. Greetings, Greg.

Whitelisting a domain on Office 365 Exchange

Hi all, I have one person who's emails I'm not receiving on the tonermail.co.uk domain. I've checked Junk and Clutter, so I thought the next step would be to whitelist their domain. I've read several places that I need to log in to Office 365, go to Admin, go to Exchange, go to Mail Flow, click Bypass Spam and there should be an option to select Whitelist domains. I can't see Mail Flow anywhere I've looked. I can see Mail Protection but this is just showing me the number of mails received and number of mails filtered in variables such as 7, 30 das etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction for where I should be looking for mail flow?
